what if marketing felt like art instead of work?
It’s a trope as old as art: creative people “don’t do the business side.”
News flash; you’re a highly creative person who has spent a decade plus honing serious business skills. What are you waiting for? You’re a goddamn unicorn.
Yeah, yeah, it’s a whole reprogramming exercise to channel your business acumen into something you’re genuinely passionate about (as opposed to using them for that little boy’s project you’ve been “helping with” all these years).
We’re going to push through this together right now.
What if marketing your current skills and creative gifts were easy? What activities would it entail for you?
If that question stumps you, try this angle: where do you enjoy showing up in public, and how do you like to make friends?
Do you like dipping into LinkedIn and popping off about AI or emotional intelligence or whatever latest thing captured your curiosity?
Are you a podcast girlie who loves the idea of interviewing your friends?
Do you get off on teaching small groups (omg, I LOVE being the center of attention, it’s the best).
Do you feel your MAXIMUM SELF in 1:1 hangs with people?
Are you a writer? A photographer? Are you on some cosmic shit when you take a selfie video?
I hate hard work. I like fun. I would never burden you with a visibility strategy that doesn’t make you STOKED.
We will land on a marketing funnel that comes to you as easily as breathing.
Here’s my funnel, btw:
1. Shoot my mouth off on LinkedIn
2. Host live workshops teaching something I’m dying to share that I recently mastered, and get all that attention
3. Shoot my mouth off even MORE in newsletters, and make it long form
4. Invite you to work with me every time
5. Revenue.
It’s made me over a million dollars so far, and it seems clear and obvious when I lay it out like that, doesn’t it?
Getting your first customers to monetize your current skills and creative gifts is so much simpler than you’re making it out to be.
The hard part is the same for everyone: confronting your fear of being seen.
Oof, that got you, didn’t it.
For most of us, our reasons for wanting to hide stem from traumatic experiences in our (or our ancestors’) past. We’ll use our 1:1 sessions and group meetings as opportunities to unearth the inner aspects of you that might be trying their best to protect you—with the side effect of keeping you stuck.
If you’ve been dreading this kind of inner work, keep in mind that with the support of the program, you’ll have a new set of resources:
1. Me, expertly holding space and guiding your expansion to be able to integrate these parts
2. A community of people rooting for you, mirroring back your gifts, and modeling what it looks like to succeed
3. A self-renewing source of INSPIRATION flowing from the energetic funnel that you’ve had guidance building
What has confronting fear of being seen done for other people in the program?
Tell ‘em, Gemma:
“Sharing regularly on LinkedIn has reminded my network how awesome it’s been working together in the past, and that I’m now available to help others in a more flexible way. Leading to tags, recommendations, and getting paid to save the day, by do something so easy for me, but insurmountable for others.
Through Becca, I’ve found a group of accountability champions, who get excited to see each other grow and succeed, and pursue multi passionate dreams.
It’s like having someone point out the obvious truth to you, but you were so clouded by structure and tradition to fathom that truth was even possible.
36 hours ago, I was tagged in a call for help from a client who needed my expertise. 12 hours ago, we had pulled together a winning deliverable. I’ve spent so long in my area of specialization that I completely forget most people have no experience here at all, let alone the comfort to talk themselves up.
This client has now put me on retainer!”
Gemma is an incredibly special and talented person, but she started exactly where you are. Grab 30 ASAP and we’ll lay out the path to your own goals.
Tomorrow: rubber, I’d like to introduce you to road.
It’ll be a strategic one-two punch to get you from “person who follows you on the internet” to “paying customer you’re thrilled to support”. Don’t miss it.
Love,
Becca
